Gothic Horror Story Writing
Write your own Gothic Horror story drawing on elements of ‘Jane Eyre’ and/or ‘TheInnocents’.
In drafting your story you should consider the following:
- Style of narration: flashback? Foreshadowing?
- Setting
- Use of written letters or diary
- Dramatic language
- Development of suspense in your writing
- Gothic themes and characters: madness, conflict between good and evil,innocence, deception and corruption, heightened emotions, Gothic hero and heroine, dramatic endings
