The assessment task requires you to write a case study response in a formal academic essay that addressesthe following tasks:
1.Analyse theCoronerscase to identify the issues (what happened andwhy it happened) in care delivery that contributed to a failure torecognise and respond to clinical deterioration.Discuss howtheissuesidentified,in conjunction with the patient presentation, medicalhistory, and underlying pathophysiological processes led tothe clinicaldeterioration.

2. Based on contemporary evidence analyse the clinical actions that theregistered nurse(s) implemented, how this contributed to thepatientsclinicaldeterioration,and discuss what action should have beenundertaken to potentially prevent the clinical deterioration.
3. Based on issues identified in theCoroners reportapply contemporaryresearch to discuss the communication barriers in the escalation ofcare and how these may be addressed to improve future care.
4. References: You must use current and relevant peer-reviewed literature to support your arguments in addressing these tasks.

• Integrate contemporary literature in the form of published articles within journals, no older than 7 years.
• Your textbooks may be used as references however, textbooks should not comprise more than 25% of your overall sources.
