Assessment Instructions:

This assessment requires students to produce over PowerPoint presentation which uses accurate medical terminology, clinical abbreviations and acronyms relating to each of the following:

• diseases of the nervous system
• diseases of the eye and adnexa
• diseases of the ear and mastoid process
• diseases of the circulatory system
• diseases of the respiratory system
• diseases of the digestive system
• diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue
• diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue
• diseases of the genitourinary system
• diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs and disorders involving the immune mechanism.
• diseases of the endocrine system
• diseases of nutritional system and metabolic disorders.
• mental and behavioural disorders
• Infectious and parasitic diseases

Each slide should include:

• a brief description of two (2) diseases for each of these systems
• two abbreviations commonly used in this system
• two acronyms related to the system
• the plural of one of the medical terms

Each slide should be read aloud (recorded voice over) and not exceed 1 minute per slide. The completed task is to be uploaded to Blackboard in the assessment 2 A folder.
