The personal learning that has been chosen for completing this paper is becoming a teacher. The paper includes a short introduction. Then the paper discusses about the theories of educational psychology and the way these theories are applicable to motivation, learning theories, and human information processing. Log with this, the paper discusses the efficient utilization of personal experience of learning in order to illustrate the link between the core theories and the way people learn. Lastly, the main findings of the paper have been concluded briefly.

Part 1: See

Generation Z

Generation Z are referred to as the people who were born between 1997 and 2012. This generation is the first who is to be brought up with advanced technology and is influenced highly by things that surround them. Since the exposure to technology, this generation spends much more time utilizing electronic devices as compared to any other generation. This park is mainly concerned as they have less best of interaction with other individuals which is maximizing the rates of depression and suicide among young people.

Maslow’s Hierarchy

Maslow's hierarchy is referred to as the theory which explains the different levels of requirement on the basis of the motivation to succeed of an individual. The hierarchy husband found to be split up into 5 key sections. Those sections are self-actualization at the top, physiological, safety, love, and steam. Prior to the fact that an individual can move up to a section in Maslow's hierarchy fundamental requirement of each section is to be met. Once the individual is found satisfied with the previous requirements, higher requirements start to seem.

Style of learning

The style of learning is the assumption that has been made on different ways to present information and understand, and brain process of an individual. This has been split into 4 styles of key learning which are dynamic learning, common sense, analytic and imaginative learning. Imaginative people mainly learn best by sharing ideas and experiences with others and listening (Brenner, 2022). The learners who are analytic learners seek facts and continuity and learn through what experts think. The learner who complies with the style of common sense generally learns using technology together with the data, testing theories, and implementing common sense in each and everything they do. The dynamic learners mainly seek hidden responsibilities and they learn through several errors and trials.

Constructivism

Constructivism is referred to as the stage within which the learners have been found to interpret and absorb the information in various manners and with long-term memories of information, they would construct the representations and absorb new information to the knowledge that is considered pre-existing. With the help of the concept of constructivism, several links to this concept are there along with the working memory of the learner (Connor et al., 2019). This implies that when people teach, it is much more fundamental to be concise and to check on the learning of students in order to ensure they comprehend the information in a manner people seek them to perceive it.

Emotional intelligence

Emotional intelligence is considered the capability to manage monitor and understand emotions. When the emotion of an individual is heightened, it changes the manner the brain thinks. It also permits us to achieve goals in a successful manner along with building positive relationships with other people and creating empathy. However, it has been found, that in some cases it has belated to generate stress and anxiety that lowers the ability to think, which causes the body to go into a panic mode of fight or flight. This is where the body becomes overwhelmed and lowers the rational procedure of thought.

The way memory works

Memory permits an individual to recall the old memories and memory permits an individual to recall the old events and memories to improve the understanding of the new information. This procedure has been found to split into three categories which include retrieval, storage, and encoding. Encoding is the way the information is organized and understood into the patterns of working memory that are categorized into tactical, semantic, accounting, and visual encoding (Hao, 2020). Storage is referred to as the amount of details and time the encoded information has been written for people as both long and short-term memory. However, when connections and memories are not used or repeated constantly during adolescence they are discarded and become forgotten memories.

Motivation

In order to become successful, each and every individual is required to have an encouraging growth mindset and that should be driven towards the prime objective of success. Motivation required beginning with self. It is very important that an individual enjoy what they are doing in order to feel encouraged so that they can accomplish a task and aqua the desired results. However, at times people might required to acquire motivation from external factors in order to push people in the right direction (?lçin et al., 2018). It has been found that there are four prime kinds of motivation which include psychological, cognitivist, behaviorist, and humanist. Psychology mainly drives people to success, behaviorists need praise through interactions, cognitive have aspirations in order to attain independent common knowledge and competence and people who are humanistic seek to meet the requirements of well-being and have a desire for achievement.

Theory of expectancy-value

The theory of expectancy-value is where the success of the individual is improved when an individual believes that they can enhance or do well at a specific task. Individuals also feel the requirement to comprehend the reason behind the importance of the task to them and when they would get the advantage from it. When they do not believe that it is advantageous to them, they might re-consider performing the task and then refuse to do it.

SMCK

SMCK mainly stands for Subject-Matter Content Knowledge and it is referred to as the comprehension of the theories, concepts, topics, and facts that students learn for specific subjects instead of related skills. The teachers of high schools must become confident in their knowledge of the selected area of the subject to be able to teach the class in a successful manner. Subject-matter content Knowledge permits the teachers to break away from the syllabus of SCSA permitting them to utilize different attitudes and skills in order to support teaching.

SCSA

SCSA stands for School Curriculum and Standards Authority and it is also referred to as the kindergarten to 12th standard curriculum for the student who lives in Western Australia. This syllabus and curricula guide the teachers of Western Australia through the depth of standards, assignments, skills, knowledge of subject area reporting, and the level of the year that are taught. It also supports the teacher to comprehend and plan out what the students must be learning that year at the school (Karimi et al., 2021).

Part 2: Think

Styles of learning

Learning styles are referred to as the way people comprehend, return process, and absorb information in various manners. It has been found that there are various authors who have used VARK in their studies. VARK implies visual, authority, reading, and kinaesthetic. They discovered that individuals who were visual learners work best through seeing, reading learners prefer to observe the information that has been presented in the form of words, auditory learner works best through hearing information and kinesthetic learners work best through actions. It is evident from various articles that understanding the learning styles of an individual facilitates effective learning and they are able to absorb the information in a better manner. VARK is considered a great manner to make individuals more engaged, involved, and attentive towards learning.

Emotional intelligence

Emotional intelligence is referred to as the aspect of intelligence that specifically pays attention to the self-management of emotions and learning the way to manage them. Emotion plays a significant part in the capacity of an individual to drive and learn success. When people feel positive emotions and happy it inspires and influences them to strive for success. It also helps them to maintain a healthy relationship with other people (Luna et al., 2021). However, when the emotions are hidden from anger, fear, and anxiety emotional part of the brain of humans shirts down the level of cognition that enables people to think in a clear manner. Having heightened emotional intelligence makes an individual feel on edge and down extremely, that is the reason an individual must identify ways to manage and cope with the level of stress.

Part 3: Wonder

Learning style

Each and every individual has a unique way of comprehending, understanding, and learning new concepts. This mainly implies that it is very important that teachers have the ability to cater to FB individuals along with their learning styles as a student would not learn the same way as other students. My subject area was physical and health education and all of the learning styles were used while conducting a lesson (Wang, 2022). This causes concern as some students are not able to reach their full potential because of the fact that teachers are not adapting the lesson to fit the learning abilities of everyone. I believe that the profession needs to be much more ever different learning styles and comprehend the fact that every student learns in a unique manner.

Emotional intelligence

Emotional intelligence plays an important role in the way students learn and absorb information. Students who have a better understanding of emotional awareness are much more likely to be connected to self in an emotional, mental, and physical aspect. However, students who are not aware of emotional intelligence, find it much more difficult to learn as they do not have control over themselves, and the way they feel makes them less encouraged to accomplish any task (Saunders & Wong, 2020).  When I become a teacher, I want all of my students to be involved and excited to come to the class. Then thinking back to when I was at the school, the sports class was always the laid-back classes where the students came to enjoy and have fun and we used to spend time with our friends.

Part 4: Connect

Topic 1: Style of learning

Considering the style of learning, I have tried to connect my profession to the learning theories. I want to become a teacher who is able to understand the feelings of students and I also want to make them engaged in the activities which will be helpful for them and along with that, they can enjoy while doing the activities (Srivastava, 2018).

Topic 2: Emotional intelligence

Emotional intelligence is referred to as the aspect of intelligence that specifically pays attention to the self-management of emotions and learning the way to manage them (Su et al., 2022). As a teacher, I always want to be someone who will be able to work on strategies that will control the emotions of the students as well as myself.  As a teacher, I should be able to empathize with the students.

Conclusion

Analyzing the above context, I am able to learn a lot. I would be teaching when eventually I enter the workplace and what I will be experiencing. Considering the learning theories, I have tried to reflect on the two prime topics in depth and those are the styles of learning and emotional intelligence. I have chosen these two topics as I think that both of these topics are much more relatable to my learning and profession. Moreover, personal theories of teaching have helped me to become much more aware of society.
