Consider a business ethics dilemma that has caused you concern. Preferably, this issue is something that you, or someone close to you, has suffered, or something about which you are concerned. It is important that you hold a strong and personal position on this problem as this will help engaging you in the investigation.

Assume that you have been engaged as a business ethics consultant by the offending organization to advise the CEO of how the problem should have been handled and about what needs to happen to ensure it does not happen again.

You will write a report outlining the nature of the problem and the harm that has resulted. You will explain why this is an ethical dilemma (remembering that actions that are illegal do not qualify as ethical dilemmas because ethics deals with those issues that are above the law, that is, when organizations act legally yet immorally).

You will then propose an alternative course of action that the organization should take to redress the problem. The alternative action must be based on the application of a normative theory found in Chapter 3 of the Crane et al (2019) text. Choosing which normative theory (ies) to apply is very important, so it is essential that you discuss the process at some depth. The challenge here is demonstrate your mastery of the normative theories by making a case as to why some are considered and others dismissed. Further discussion should ensue as to why you settled on a particular normative theory, or even better, a combination of theories, presumably because your choice best describes the problem, and as such, remedies the harm. The chosen theory(ies) is/are then applied to the problem and a course of action is recommended. The recommendation should also mention a course of action to ensure that such problems can be averted in the future.

This report should be approximately 1,000 words long. It must be formatted correctly and contain:
