To receive maximum marks you must demonstrate clarity and understanding of the topic and offer an interpretation of the issues and implications together with a very high level of scholarship.

Discussion of one approach- Reggio Emilia, Steiner, Montessori, Te Whariki, Forest Schools – and how this knowledge informs your future teaching practice

2. Theory and research – Inter-connection, Evaluation and Cognitive engagement

Draws on relevant academic readings and references to support your discussion (Use of readings from the unit material are expected).

Consideration and depth of thought regarding the topic.

Analysis and discussion show critical thinking and reasoning

3. Academic expression and referencing:

A clear essay structure that includes an introduction, main body and conclusion. Consideration to writing for and engaging an audience.

Accurate and coherent writing including grammar, spelling and expression. Sources from the unit are referred to and included in the reference list.

Adherence to APA 7 referencing style.
