Critically review"Health Promotion Theory"
- Country :
Australia
Overview
Health promotion evolved from many disciplines and actions with the common focus of improving the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities, thus the concepts and theories which underpin health promotion are many and varied. In this assessment you are required to clearly identify one theory, framework or concept introduced in Week 1 and present an evidence-based critique of why the theory, framework or concept is relevant to the practice of health promotion for a community. To further support the relevance of the theory, framework or concept, you must provide an example of this in practice for a current health promotion locally, nationally or globally.
This assessment commences the first phase from the program planning and evaluation cycle, remembering that each stage of the cycle should involve some form of evaluation which includes analysing approaches in practice for the development of effective health promotion interventions (Figure 1).
