Human Structure and Physiology Assessment
- Subject Code :
HSP102
- University :
Torrens University Exam Question Bank is not sponsored or endorsed by this college or university.
- Country :
Australia
Context
In this assessment, students will further develop and practice specific health literacy and language in the context of Human Structure and Physiology using digital tools. This is key for success in the modern health industry, as there is an increased demand for specialized digital content and communication in the health industry. This assessment aims to improve your:
- Searching and interpretation of human structure and physiology literature
- Expression and understanding of human structure and physiology knowledge with an emphasis on regulatory mechanisms of homeostasis
- Apply and analyze the impact of disturbances in homeostasis using specific human structure and physiology terms
Instructions
In this assessment, you will create an audio response in a structured Podcast format for Questions 1, 2, 3, and 4 described below
Step 1 Access your class announcements page or the Topic file in the Assessment 2 folder on Blackboard to complete this assessment
Step 2 Create an audio response
After you have accessed and identified the organ, create an audio response using the provided structure (length: 5 minutes ? 10%) for the following questions:
Question 1: Introduction to the topic, structure, and function(s)/role(s) of the organ.
Question 2: Describe how the organ integrates with other organs/tissues of the system to perform key function/s.
Question 3: Describe the key secretions that the organ is associated with and explain how they contribute to homeostatic control/homeostasis.
Question 4: Explain how the organ self-regulates and is regulated in response to pathophysiological disturbance(s) that disrupts homeostasis.
Step 3 Create referencing file page
You are also required to submit a reference list in a separate file.
The reference list must follow the current APA referencing style and should be typed into a Microsoft Word document/file, one (1) page recommended. To support the content of your answers, use a minimum of five (5) different references only from academic sources (i.e., scientific journal articles, textbooks, and credible webpages .gov when appropriate). Please refer to the Academic Writing Guide and current APA style on the Academic Skills page on Blackboard and library services.
