In Assessment 2, you advised on a merger between Baby Bunting Ltd and G8 Education Ltd. Based on your analysis and subsequent recommendation, the boards of both companies agreed to merge.
The CEO of XYZ Mutual Fund John Smith is very pleased with your advisory work and would like you to define the new entity and present your advice to the new board. John Smith has advised that you will present this to the new board in a meeting, so you need to make a presentation or approximately 10–12 minutes.
In this assessment, you will consider all the important elements of creating a new brand including the new entity name, the company’s strategic vision and the new structure for the company.
You will be required to present this information in a presentation format with a voice-over. Some options include:
- creating a narrated PowerPoint (which is a PowerPoint presentation with a voice over);
- a Prezi presentation;
- Zoom; or
- other tools that you can find (as long as your Online Facilitator can access it for marking).
This assessment supports unit learning outcomes 1 and 4.

Task
To complete this assessment task:
- Articulate a new entity name, mission statement, vision statement, goals, and value statement. (2-3 slides)
- Discuss how the new entity will increase shareholder value. (1-2 slides)
- Design a new strategic map which covers the four perspectives: Financial, Customer, Internal Process, Learning and Growth using Treacy and Wiersema’s Value Disciplines. (2 slides)
- Justify the effectiveness of this strategic map to produce a return on investment (ROI). (2-3 slides)
- Design a new organisational chart that is strong in stewardship and has good governance (e.g. should it be separate Decentralised? Centralised?) Justify its effectiveness to add financial value to the new firm. (1-2 slides)
- Recommend a future direction for the new entity that is innovative and in line with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). (1-2 slides) (Topic 4.4 and 4.5)

- Create a Word document for submission of your presentation. This document should contain the following information:
- The URL or link to your presentation (including password to link if applicable). Please note, that you will not be able to submit your presentation as it will most likely exceed the file size allowance for assessments.
- Your complete presentation script (everything that you say during your recorded presentation).

- Narrated PowerPoint: This is a two-part process, firstly you will need to save your Narrated PowerPoint as a video file (an mp4) and then upload your video into YouTube for viewing.

- Part 2: Upload videos(Google, 2019).
