Introduction

• Insert one to two paragraphs of contextual information required to introduce what is included in the plan. For example, why has the plan been written and what does it contain. Also, provide a brief structure of this document

Project Scope

• Define the aims and objectives of the project and outline what the major deliverables and quality standards of/for the project will be
• List the quality standards required for client acceptance of each deliverable in table format. Indicate how quality standards will be measured/assessed where possible in your table.

Business Case

Project Schedule

• Describe (using general terms/business language that can be easily understood by the client) how the project will be conducted, what the major phases of the project are, what they entail and how long each phase, and the entire project, will take. This section should be two to three paragraphs in length and include the aforementioned schedule.
• Furthermore, a project Gannt chart showing the tasks, duration, times, critical path, predecessors and resources. Use MS Project software to generate your schedule and point out key items of the schedule in clear language that the client can understand. Your schedule must contain at least 50 tasks, three milestones and three phases. Better solutions will include 75 or more tasks, six milestones and four or more phases.

Resources

• Include a complete role and responsibility matrix for all human resources assigned as part of the project
• Generate a report/reports using MS Project software that shows how resources are used in the project and introduce the report(s) and the matrix describing what they show and what the key features of each report/matrix are in clear language that the client can understand. Your matrix must include at least 8 entries. Better solutions will contain 14 or more

Budget

• Include an itemised budget summarising the cost of the project. Use MS Project reports. Introduce the reports describing what they are in language that the client can understand. You must describe several of the most expensive costs to the project and justify them prior to presenting the report.

Risks

• Include a risk register that highlights at least 5 risks that may impact the project. Better solutions will present 8 or more risk entries. Introduce the risk register (explain what it is so that the client can understand the information presented).

Communication Strategies

• Include a communications matrix that highlights at least 5 communication activities required for the project. Better solutions will present 8 or more entries. Introduce the communications matrix (explain what it is so that the client can understand the information presented

Stakeholder Management

• Include a plan for engaging stakeholders in this project, with the types of stakeholders, engagement methods, frequencies listed. At least 5 entries required; better solution should have 8 or more entries

Summary

• Include a brief summary of the facts presented and key take-away messages in your plan as a conclusion. It should be one or two paragraphs in length.
