Areas of improvement- Being a student there will be a lot of areas where I will have to improve including my personal areas. Hence, I will be making certain that I am identifying the areas of improvement and working on them so that better success can be gained (Kamhawy, Chan & Mondoux 2021). Certain areas of improvement can be developing a new habit or pursuing a new passion that will not only help in my professional development but will also impact my personal life.

Developing objectives- Developing the objectives will be one of the most effective ways by which the improvements can be improved. The objectives must align with the needs and the requirements. Moreover, the objectives have to be quite practical so that they can be used in a proper way (Clark & Watson 2019). The objectives also help the individuals in making certain that proper growth is being attained and the operations are also being improved in every possible way.

Developing strategies- Strategies play a vital role in achieving an objective based on which personal factors can be improved. There should be certain strategies that must be aligned with the areas of improvement that I have. The strategies should not be expensive and should be practical in nature. There can be situations when the strategies might not work in an appropriate way for which there will be a need to devise the strategies. In such cases, data can also be collected so as to understand why the strategies are failing so that better developments can be done based on which the improvements can be gained.

Testing the strategies- The developed strategies must be analyzed and monitored by the business so that the improvements can be assessed in a proper way. The strategies are one of the essential components that will guide individuals in developing the business process in a proper way (Chen et al. 2021). Also, the impact of the strategies should be monitored so that effective understanding can be obtained. Strategy development is one of the core methods by which quality improvement can be learned by an individual which will be used by them in the future when they are employed for a business.

Evaluating the results- The obtained outcomes post the implementation of the strategy must be assessed so as to have a clear picture of the quality development done. Maintaining quality in the activities and the task being done ensures that positive influences are being maintained. The results will also be determining the amount of dedication the individual has by which they can assess their dedication towards the work being done by them.

Risk Management Being a student and individual there are a lot of risks associated including my academics. Hence, it is also important to identify certain risks that can create a challenge for me in the future.

Identifying risk- being a student some of the potential risks that I might have are the failure to score in the examinations and staying behind the classes which will again be reflecting on my performance during the exams and assignments (Guerrero, Urbano & Gajón 2020). Hence, the sub-risks associated with thee must also be kept in mind by which I can reduce the intensity and can control the risks as well.

Analyzing the risk intensity- The intensity of the risk should also be assessed by the individuals based on which the business development can be quite effective. Since there are various risks associated with an individual, there should be a markup of the intensity or the severity of the risk so as to have a better plan based on which the improvements can be done (Baddeley et al. 2021). When I am employed in an organization, I will also have to ensure that I am identifying the potential risks so that I can reduce the severity and can also maintain a proper balance. For example, the impact of failing an exam can be quite high which will be impacting my career and also my foundation.

Creating strategies- Strategy creation is a common link between quality improvement and risk mitigation actions based on which there can be a better balance in the organization. The strategies will also be helpful as they will guide the employees and will also be making certain that a higher amount of growth is being targeted. Since the risks cannot be eliminated as they are likely to happen, they can be controlled so that there is a higher amount of efficiency in the business. The strategies will also be developing the goals and will also ensure that the employees are sticking to the options based on which there can be a huge amount of development. The strategy development will also be helpful in reducing the delays in the work and will keep me active all the time so that I can have better control.

Continuous improvement- The improvement in the business must be appropriate by which the individuals can also ensure that a higher amount of stability is being gained by them (Berwick et al. 2019). The risks and the mitigation strategy should be used as learning content so that in future it can be utilized in an effective way.

Personal development plan The personal development plan is an effective way of identifying the areas of development needed by the individuals that can be helpful in addressing some of the major concerns. The development of skills and competencies can b quite higher when there is a proper plan that can be used by the individuals.

Skills and Knowledge Gained

CV

The first aspect that was learned is CV development which plays a vital role in the organization. CV allows the recruiters to understand the areas of expertise that the individual has by which better job success can be gained. It provides a detailed overview of the roles that have been handled along with the activities that were involved with the role. A CV contains information about the personal and professional aspects based on which the operations can further be managed in a proper way (Teixeira da Silva et al. 2020). Individuals can have many forms of experience in the field of Jobs. Hence, the recruiters can also filter out the most essential experience that they have and can approach the individuals if they have an idea of the knowledge they have gained.

Job Interview

A job interview is based on the experience and the activities that the employees and the new candidates have experienced. The job interview is a detailed understanding of the potential and the capability the individuals have by which they can be fitted into the roles in a better way. The interview also helps in assessing the candidates on multiple levels and testing their patience in completing the job (Roberts 2020). The interview should be based on the experience of the candidates. Asking them questions band providing them with tasks that are tackled by people of higher experience can lead to poor assessment of the individuals leading to wastage of time for the candidates and the recruiters. In an interview, the recruiters should have an idea of the different behaviours and attitudes that the candidates demonstrate based on which there can be improved operations.

Five strength learned

Apart from the skills and the competencies, I have learned through the course I can say that my decision-making skills have improved considerably which is also essential in the field of patient care as there can be situations where I will have to make a decision based on the knowledge and the expertise that I have. This will also be making certain that proper growth is being assessed based on which the operations can also be improved. The second strength learned by me is communication which is also mentioned in the Registered Nurse Standard of Practice based on which I can ensure to communicate with the patients in an effective way (Yu et al. 2021). The third learning that I have gained is the development of commitment towards a practice where I follow all the rules and regulations duly so that the patients get the care they deserve. This can also be one of the factors based on which the operations can be improved in a better way. Patient-centric care was the primary aspect that was taught to us as we were also informed that under every circumstance, individuals must maintain proper consistency and can also ensure that proper stability is being gained by them in the care setting (Wong, Mavondo & Fisher 2020). The fourth practice I learned about is the habit of not doing something that I do not have expertise in. Many times, the nurses have to make a step which they do not have knowledge about. This can be proven essential in some cases. However, doing such can be harmful to the health of the individuals.

Three gaps in learning

The first gap in learning is the inability to grasp the knowledge in one go. This means I usually take a longer time to learn something and make sense of it. This is also helpful in reducing the challenges in me and will also help in making certain that a higher amount of growth is being managed by the individuals. The second gap in learning is poor problem-solving capabilities. Being a registered Nurse, it is quite important to solve complex problems based on which I can make better actions and can also ensure that better stability is being gained. The third gap in learning is underconfidence. Many times, I lose confidence while studying since; I do not hold a proper understanding of the learning. Hence, under confidence during my academics was one of the main areas which were creating a problem for me.

Introduction

My Name is Sara Moore and I was a student of Bachelors of Science and pursued Nursing based on which I can address the aged care issues in a prominent way. Nursing is one of the most prospective career options which will be helpful in providing me with a better and stable career option. Being a nursing student I had to gain multiple certifications and licenses based on which I could have gained better skills and competencies. I have also developed an understanding of Certificate III Acute Care Health Services which provided certain protocols that must be followed. I also worked with My Vista as an aged care professional. I also worked as a mental health professional in Banksia ward and Karren ward where I learned a; lot about handling patients and taking their care in a care setting.

Brief overview of the interview questions

The interview will be analyzing the different skills and competencies that I have along with the amount of confidence I have. There will be structured and open-ended questions based on which I can prepare better for future employment. The future of my career will also be analyzed by the interviewer for which I should keep my goals and focuses clear under any circumstances.

Star Framework on Clinical Example

Situation- The situation that I faced in Kalamunda Hospital was quite difficult to manage as there was a patient who fell down from the bed as there were no bed rails raised for the protection of the patients. This could have brought a legal challenge for the business for which there could have been even more issues.

Task- The task that I was supposed to undertake is analyzing the patient's health post she fell from the bed. Looking for the injuries and checking if there were any more hazardous cases by the fall of the patient.

Action- Upon seeing certain bruises and cuts on the hands, I argued with the other staff that were responsible for looking after the patient. I also informed the supervisors about the matter and ensured additional safety is being enacted in the ward so that such issues can be refrained in the future.

Result- In few days after the incident, it was observed that all the ward staffs were extremely cautious regarding their activities and responsibilities. Based on this they could have improved the operations and also ensured better safety to the employees.

Brief summary

The interview ensured that I am well prepared for the future of employment as I have clear goals of what I want to achieve and to ensure that I am having all the possible interventions based on which I can develop the work in a more prominent way. Based on the star Framework, it can be said that the fall of the patient was a situation which needed immediate assistance.
