TASK1

1. Using the above information, complete the Taxation summary table provided on the next page showing the required steps of working.

Do not calculate the total amounts yet. Just the formulae/steps are enough. We will get Microsoft Excel to do it for us.

2.Transfer the table in the same format on to a spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel) to help Mario complete his annual tax returns.Make sure to use Excel tools for all calculations and to find the final tax amount.

3. This will determine if Mario receives a tax refund, or he owes money to the ATO (tax payable) for the FY 2022-23.

TASK 2

In your analysis, compare the cost of basic hospital cover from three private health insurance providers.

You can compare the cost on a weekly, monthly basis or yearly basis. The choice is yours.

- Make a recommendation to Mario on his best option for hospital cover.

- Justify your answer with respect to Mario’s current circumstances.

TASK 3-Report Writing

Produce a formal mathematical report incorporating all the above tasks analysing income, taxes,health insurance services etc., and provide your recommendation for the best insurance product for Mario.
