Question 1.List five examples (1-2 sentences each) of when somebody might require a motor control assessment to be conducted.
Question 2. Are the clinical tests we considered today mostly screening or diagnostic tests? Explain your answer.
Question 3.Complete the table below. The clinical assessments are those that are covered in both the before and during class activities in Session 6.
Some components have more than one assessment.
For posture and balance, there were a number of tests covered pick 2 to describe below.
For gait, use the test from the before class activities and choose one gait battery from the during class activities.
Component Clinical assessments Provide the following information for each individual test: a brief explanation (consider, for example, test aim, administration, scoring, target population), test strengths and weaknesses, a risk assessment and risk management procedures where necessary.
Muscle volume and symmetry Muscle tone Muscle strength Sensation Proprioception Reflexes Coordination Posture and balance Gait Question 4. This question requires you to consider the condition or disease that you are using in the Assessment 4 group activity. Consider the major motor control challenges that result from that condition/disease and select three tests from Session 6 that you believe would be relevant in either diagnosis or treatment of the condition. In less than 500 words, explain which tests you have chosen, why these are relevant to your condition/disease and how they might be used, and any risk management procedures that might be required.
