PURPOSE / OBJECTIVES
To deepen understanding of nursing concepts foundational to the TNCR
To retrieve, analyze and utilize scholarly nursing material
To develop critical thinking and analytical abilities
To identify connections between literature and nursing practice
To enhance scholarly writing skills
PROCESS:
Students will search for, choose and evaluateTHREEscholarly peer-reviewed articles related toONEof the following nursing concepts. The chosen concept must relate to the Therapeutic Nurse ClientRelationship.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:
Bibliographies will be used to support the development of concept-related scholarly paper. .All three peer reviewed articles must be located using search engines and databases related tonursing.
Content derived from course readings will not be accepted.
Chosen articles must have been published within the last 10 years.

Purpose:To examine a concept related to the therapeutic nurse-client relationship chosen in Annotated bibliography.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Select, research and analyze one of the concepts covered in classes . You will have identified this concept as part of the Annotated Bibliography.
Your paper should include1) an explanation of the significance of the concept to the nursing profession, and 2) reflection on how this concept might influence your learning/practice as a nursing student.
PAPER STRUCTURE AND EXPECTATIONS:
1) Introduction
State the focus, purpose of the paper and chosen concept, and provide a brief outline of the paper.
2) Body(This section should be the FOCUS ofyourpaper, andwritten in 3rd person)
Use amaximumof three current peer-reviewed,nursing focusedresources (PPN102 Assignment #1) to examine your concept in depth. All resources must have been published within the past 10 years.
Usethe feedback your instructor provided for Assignment #1 to strengthen and refine your analysis.
As part of your examination, be sure to:
a)include a definition of the conceptsupported by this peer reviewed nursing literature ONLY.
b)analyze and explainhow this concept is relevant in the nursing profession, supported by the literature.
NOTE: Analysis is an important part of this paper. Here are key points to help guide your writing.
Analysis moves beyond description and involves deep examination of the concept.
Analysis is a process of inquiry that draws on multiple resources/citations toidentify, compare and contrastdifferent viewpoints of the concept.
Analysis involves not only how the concept is used/exhibited (in nursing), but also how, where and when it emerges, what it means and why it is significant.

Four page maximum (exclusive of title page & reference list). Maximum of three current references (within ten years) from nursing or allied health journals with a nursing focus. Paper submitted on time.
