Inclusion and Diversity Policy (example)
We will strive to engage with our local community, the connections and conversations that we have are shared with others. We facilitate authentic relationships and have a philosophy of shared decision making. We support inclusion and welcome any chance to participate with our local community. We strongly believe in inclusion and access for all children and families and will endeavour to facilitate an inclusive environment
Our commitment to quality ensures that we will maintain our journey towards continuous improvement and ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge. We will share our cultural knowledge and skills with each other during staff meetings and share family cultural knowledge, to enhance the cultural competence at our workplace. Using this knowledge to support our inclusive diverse learning environments.
Our commitment to cultural diversity and a culturally competent workplace is evident in the curriculum and indoor and outdoor environment to facilitate a shared responsibility of celebrating diversity, and promoting inclusion within this. The Service will endeavour to celebrate differences and embrace cultural diversity in all areas of our curriculum. Our children will learn about diversity through interactions and activities.
