Its anoverall reflective summary (see below topics 1-11 and videos)based on what you have learnt and how you have developed over the semester. You will be producing anoverallpersonal reflection of your knowledge and skills gained. This will be individual and personalised and so each students reflection (thoughts, feelings) will be different to anothers.

What to include-For example, you may include how you feel about your new skill / skill development / knowledge, changes / progress from the beginning to the end of the semester (e.g., skills learnt, how you will use these), how you overcame specific difficulties, how you developed specific strengths, where you feel you still lack confidence and / or would like to gain further skills or weaknesses you need to address (e.g., things to develop further, need more work / training) and how you plan to do this (e.g., read more about a specific topic, practice a specific skill). If you have used the Activities and Reflective Journal each week for reflecting on topics and material, you can draw upon this to form your Overall Reflective Summary (see below topics 1-11 and videos).

Note: must cover reflective over all topics with examples -

To begin your preparation for this Assessment, the following may help orientate you towards what reflection is, how to start the reflective process, and its benefits.

What is Reflection?

"Reflection is a deliberate and conscientious process that employs a persons cognitive, emotional and somatic capacities to mindfully contemplate on past, present or future (intended or planned) actions in order to learn, better understand and potentially improve actions" (Harvey et al. 2016, p 9).

Reflective practice is an essential component of skill and professional development in many professions such as by psychologists and counsellors. It involves the critical reflection on ones own practice and a commitment to professional growth and development - it is a learning process. Often such professionals will reflect on their practice daily in order to improve their skills and knowledge. This can also form the basis of peer supervision and continuing professional development (CPD).

You may reflect upon your knowledge and skills as you work through the different topics and materials each week. Even if you do not intend to work as a practicing psychologist or counsellor, personal reflection when working as a professional in many other settings is core to identifying weaknesses, areas for improvement, up-skilling, and subsequent further learning.
