Assessment Task 3: Special Interest Tourism Infographic (Individual)
Aim An infographic is a textual and graphic way of presenting information in a concise and persuasive way, which helps develop students communication and digital literacy skills.
Students should complete a Special Interest Tourism Infographic that outlines the fundamental aspects of particular Special Interest Tourism experience and explores the role and relationships between key stakeholders. You should also explore the impact of this form of tourism development, considering social, economic and environmental factors.
Students will need to conduct some research to answer key questions about the SIT chosen segment.
The poster should, at a minimum, address the following criteria:
Present a succinct overview of chosen SIT segment.
Provide examples of destinations that offer this type of SIT experience
Explore the economic, environmental and social impacts of this type of experience
Identify the key stakeholders and outline their priorities? (e.g. What does each stakeholder want from this particular tourism experience?)
Are there any tensions that may exist between stakeholders?
Key recommendations for the sustainable development of this particular SIT segment?
