Assignment description:
Each student must write a persuasive academic report on one of these three given case study questions related to professional ethics in the workforce:
How should businesses respond to moral questions about workforce surveillance and data analytics.
Case Study: In 2019, a number of google employees expressed concerns regarding the usage of surveillance techniques by the firm to track employee activity. How can businesses strike a compromise between the necessity for data analytics and monitoring and the ethical concerns about workplace privacy and transparency?
What function does ethical leadership play in the tech sector?
Case Study: The founder of the cryptocurrency exchange QuadrigaCX passed away unexpectedly in 2018 and left behind millions of dollars in investor funds. How can ethical leadership help prevent situations like these from happening, and what can businesses do to guarantee that their leaders operate with integrity and transparency?
How should businesses handle the problem of inclusion and diversity in the tech sector?
Case study: In 2020, a number of well-known tech firms came under fire for their lack of diversity and inclusion. What are the ethical repercussions of failing to do so? How can businesses build more inclusive and diverse workforces?
Your report must be based on thorough research of the case study and include at least 5 peer reviewed academic reference sources. Ensure to familiarise yourself with the marking rubric prior to commencing work on the task.
