You may also critique the law in terms of its effectiveness to achieve its stated purpose, or other relevant factors. You are required to support your arguments with reference to authoritative legal sources, including primary and secondary materials, to demonstrate your understanding of the law and relevant issues. Footnote references must be provided for all sources of law, and any other ideas you discuss in the assignment. It is important to acknowledge the work of other people who have contributed to your understanding of the topic.

In October 2021, the Australian Federal Government had enacted the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth). The act had strengthened protections against online abuse in line with community expectations, and also imposed obligations on social media platforms to take down offending material if requested by the e-Safety Commissioner.

Critically analyse the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth) with reference to the topics on liberalism, rule of law, human rights and transnational corporations. You need to only analyse two of these concepts.
