- Explain the key provisions of the Fair Work Act 2009
- Explain the key provisions of each of the following Acts:
- Racial Discrimination Act 1975: The act provides that it is illegal to discriminate against a person because of their colour, race, descent, national or ethnic origin, and immigrant status. Additionally, it provides for equal rights under the law for all persons without regard to ethnicity and aims at eradication of racism.
- Sex Discrimination Act 1984: This act prohibits any kind of discrimination on grounds of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, intersex status, marital or relationship status, pregnancy, and potential pregnancy. Equality between men and women is supported as well as protection from sexual harassment.
- Disability Discrimination Act 1992: The act is intended to ensure that people with disabilities live a life free of any form of discrimination thus enabling them fully to enjoy equal rights in the country. It focuses on employment, education, entry onto premises or buildings, supply of services, goods, and facilities, housing, and land.
