Bush Medijina is an Indigenous owned and operated, small-scale company operating in the beauty industry, particularly for skincare and wellness products. The company uses traditional First Nations methods and ingredients together with sustainable and natural materials sourced from reputable suppliers in Australia (Welcome to Bush Medijina, 2020). The company's vision is to apply native botanical knowledge to modern skincare to provide quality products to consumers. The purpose of the business is to continue to pass on the knowledge from Indigenous ancestors to future generations while utilising modern technology to produce new and innovative products for their target market.
2.Justification of Business Choice
Bush Medijinas drive to uplift women shines through abundantly as you peruse their website. Their focus on supporting Warnindilyakawa women through knowledge sharing is inspiring and reminds us that growing strong, resilient communities starts with connection. Connection to the land, to each other, to stories, to knowledge. For myself, connecting with land and people is pertinent for my well-being hence my choice of Bush Medijina for this report. Bush Medijina is leaving a legacy with its business practices, that will see benefits in many parts of the community while providing a sustainable, quality product.
Bush Medijina uses the secrets of beauty and wellness from Aboriginal History to provide better products for consumers and create awareness of the importance of traditional wellness and healing.
