You will investigate the developmental concept “self-regulation”. You will critically examine relevant scholarly literature and demonstrate your subsequent knowledge and understanding of self-regulation. Using this knowledge and understanding, you will discuss the relevance of self-regulation to the developmental domains (cognitive, emotional, social, personal). You will then discuss the implications of self-regulation theory and research for teaching and learning, and briefly reflect on how you will personally use this knowledge in your own teaching.
