You will be given two organisational structures - one for a large/resort hotel (at least 150+ and
one for a small hotel or motel (less than 60 beds).
Compare and contrast the Food & Beverage and the Rooms Division departments under each
organizational structure covering the following aspects for each hotel:
- the divisions of responsibility;
- service levels and guest expectations;\
- staffing levels (approx. number of staff required and positions required);
- inter-departmental communications
- range of tasks, including room service and banquet facilities;
Part B. Job description (200 — 300 words)
You will be given two job descriptions; one for a front office employee and one for a Food & Beverage
Attendant. How does the Front office employee compare to an employee working as a Food &
Beverage attendant?
