Length 5 minutes
Scenario Presentation
Your assigned task is to analyse the data, focusing on performance per day-of-week. You will
have to present the findings of your analysis in a video presentation.
Instructions:

include, but are not limited to:
o Have the Occupancy %, ADR and RevPAR performance measures increased,
decreased, or stayed the same? What could explain these changes?

differences between these time periods? What could explain these?
o Note:
Week -1 refers to the week prior to the event, Week 0 the week of the
event, and Week +1 to the week after the event
Create at least one (1) visual aid (table, figure, graph) to assist with the data analysis.
The figure(s) created must align with your observations and interpretation of the data.
Ensure that it does not repeat information provided, but instead enhance the data
analysis.
If applicable, you must include any calculations you compute as an Appendix to the
submission.
This is a hypothetical scenario and thus, you must ignore the impact of the COVID-19
pandemic on the mar
Assessment Task
Analyse key performance indicators in a dataset and create analytical visual figure(s).
Please refer to the Instructions for details on how to complete this task.

support to your interpretations.
The recommended structure of the presentation is as follow:
Introduction
o Introduce the context (hotel/market, time, report/data set).
o Provide a brief outline to your presentation.
Analysis

o Interpret and explain the observed changes.
o Create and use a graph/table/figure to showcase the critical observations.
Conclusion
o Summarise the scenario, the key issue(s) and relevant observation(s) identified.
You must prepare a short presentation (as a PowerPoint document) to support your analysis.
PowerPoint presentation will include:
o Hotel Cover Page (1 slide)
o Analysis(12 slides maximum inclusive of graphs/tables/figures)
o References (if any)
Notes:
This presentation is based on the data set provided. You will need to create your own visual
representation of the data analysis, under the form of graphs, tables, or other figures. There are no
minimum requirements to the number of visual aids you must create
