Scenario Description

MediCare provides a wide range of medical services to the community and currently relies on manual record-keeping, paper-based appointment systems, and limited digital tools. They recognize that leveraging computing technology is essential to meet the growing demands for healthcare services. They are interested in embracing digital transformation to improve patient care, streamline administrative tasks, and to enhance overall efficiency. However, they are facing several challenges related to patient care like missing electronic health records (EHRs), and no mechanism for real-time patient monitoring using IoT devices. They also want to implement technology solutions to automate appointment scheduling, billing, and inventory management. In addition to this, by looking at the sensitive nature of medical data, MediCare is also concerned about data security and patient privacy, and they aim to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards. Finally, by understanding the critical importance of web-presence, MediCare plans to develop a professional website.
