Key issues highlighted within the interview

From the interview analysis of Noelene Gration, the overall adverse circumstance of LGBTIQ individuals has been underlined within the wider community area. In the interview given by one of the relevant community members, Noelene elaborated the community people of LGBTIQ have dealt with racism and bias-oriented difficulties for numerous years. Individuals around Australia from higher socioeconomic backgrounds consider homosexuality specifically among LGBTIQ community people as unwanted and most of them consider the act should be punishable (Kilicaslan & Petrakis, 2019). The interviewee has also outlined that social isolation leads to poor health conditions among LGBTIQ people as common people are likely to separate them due to their differences in cultures and values. While receiving services in primary health care, specifically aged care services, the community people usually face different barriers due to the prevalence of prejudice and discrimination attitudes. The interviewee says healthcare staff training to welcome diversified people in healthcare specifically within aged care services is very important (Dune et al., 2020). Aged care services should be accessible to all homosexual people along with a friendly environment's presence. Equality in services and just rights for every LGBTIQ person seeking healthcare support is still a challenge that needs to be provided with major emphasis.

Impact of issues on people from the LGBTIQ Community and evaluating their capability

Noelene through her entire interview session has depicted that the continuous separation from vital socio-economic areas, marginalization, and social isolation issues faced by LGBTIQ community people create a major impact on their physical and mental health. They showcase poor health outcomes when they access primary services of healthcare and most of them are found dealing with excessive substance use illnesses like drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. A significant portion of the particular community's group is also facing severe mental health challenges like trauma, depression, stress, and anxiety (Farmer et al., 2018). Many LGBTIQ people are found getting rejected from their respective families and are left homeless after expressing their own feelings and identities. While making attempts to access health services for their adverse health issues, LGBTIQ clients face different personal and healthcare barriers. Nursing staff still obtain stereotypical values and beliefs within them and are unable to deliver accurate treatment by addressing their concerns. This bias highly demotivates the LGBTIQ group of people which raises the burden and stress of not being able to receive quality health services. Besides this, within healthcare organizations, mental health providers and nurses also face complexities to deliver precise care to the group (Grant et al., 2024). This is because they are required to broaden their cultural knowledge and competence level by being self-aware and reciprocating well in addressing their healthcare challenges.

Primary healthcare guidelines utilization for LGBTIQ groups

Analyzing the interview, as a competent registered nurse, I have developed an innovative idea with regard to the importance of utilizing the services of Rainbow Tick Accreditation in Australia. This is a quality framework established in primary health care that assists human services and health organizations reflect their inclusivity, and safety and ensuring employers and services for the community people of LGBTIQ. The standards of Rainbow Tick are adopted by Australias Rainbow Health and are framed to establish extended inclusion of lasting. LGBTIQ groups of individuals facing physical or mental health issues will be able to receive accreditation in the form of independent assessment (Jones et al., 2020). I feel this framework will help the disadvantaged community people to deliver culturally acceptable and safe services and an accessible and welcoming healthcare environment through their organizational and workforce development competencies. Working in the front-line area of primary care, my key responsibility will be to eradicate bias or any discrimination forms from the health environment by ensuring productive communication, coordination, and advocacy with my clients and colleagues (Yarwood et al., 2022). Further, it would be my primary duty to maintain safety in the healthcare environment by adopting inclusive, just and innovative health approaches (Moagi et al., 2021). Offering health education that suggests health approaches and treatment options that will be culturally suitable for diversified groups in primary care units will be a beneficial service provided to the LGBTIQ community.

My perceptions and thoughts concerning the interview

I have been able to draw an essential finding from the interview that LGBTIQ peoples smoking and drinking at an excessive level due to facing discrimination for several years has negatively affected their mental and physical health. Healthcare professionals or nurses are required to speak well or have clear conversations with clients as well as other people living in the relevant marginalized community. As a registered nurse, I specifically do not promote any racism or bias while delivering care services to LGBTIQ clients. Besides this, I feel I need to make effective communication with other nursing staff or colleagues in the workplace and make them know about the usefulness of cultural awareness and diversity. I think appreciating LGBTIQ patients' individual preferences and values along with their sexual identity while delivering effective treatment is essential (Kilicaslan et al., 2024). Counseling services must also provide equitable and fair services to LGBTIQ clients dealing with mental issues.
