Some information that suggested that Google sites has a storage limit of 100MB which is quite low, whereas Google Drive has a storage limit of 15GB.

You could try to add additional files to Google Drive and then make these available in the site. They do need to make sure that the file is shared publicly in Google Drive. This is mentioned in the ePortfolio book in Moodle.

Using Google New Sites

Step 2: Publish your site

On a computer, open a site innew Google SitesAt the top, clickPublish.

Enter the web address for your site.

Terms that violate ourAcceptable Use Policywont be allowed.

ClickPublish. Optional: Visit your sites web address to make sure its published correctly.

Note:To use a web address thats currently in use or has been used in the past for a site you own, change the address or permanently delete the existing site.Learn how to change the web address of an existing site.Learn how to delete a site.

Step 3: Check your sharing options

Choose who can see your site

On a computer, open a site innew Google Sites.

At the top, click Share.

Next to 'Published', clickChange.Then choose anoption:

Anyone on the web

Specific people

To share with specific people, enter the name or email address of the person or Google Group you want to add, click Can editCan view publishedSend. ClickSaveorDone.

Opt your site out of search engines

Important: This is a request and doesnt guarantee that your site wont show up in public search engines.

This option is only available if your site is set to 'Public on the web', and can be viewed by anyone.

On a computer, open a site innew Google Sites.

At the top, next to 'Publish', click the Down arrow.

ClickPublish settings.

Click 'Request public search engines to not display my site'.

ClickSave.

Preview and share your site

Share your site

On a computer, open a site inclassic Google Sites.

At the top right, clickShare.

Under 'Who has access', clickChange.

Choose who you can see your site.

ClickSave.

Note: If you use a Google Account through school or work, you mightn't be able to share your site with everyone.For help, contact your administrator.

Invite others to see your site

You can share your site with specific people or Google Groups.

On a computer, open a site inclassic Google Sites.

At the top right, clickShare.

Under 'Invite people', enter the name or email address of a person or Google Group.

ClickSend.

Optional: To remove a person or group, next to their name and click Delete.
