Outline the career of the nominee, including background on the nominee's work or field of activity800 words With Jacyntha continuous self-driven improvement, enthusiasm as well as strong perseverance, she has overcome various challenges for the well-being of others. This enables the people she touch to accomplish a happy and blissful life by providing comprehensive services and educational information. Due to the impact of her childhood experience, she has always believed that education is the most important tool for the unfortunate ones to grow. Jacyntha graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Business Information Technology from Inti International University in 1999, Postgraduate Diploma of Executive Management and Leadership Practice from Hong Kong Institute of Chief Executives (HHKICE) in 2015 and Executive Doctor of Business Administration from Canada Sabi University in 2017.

After completing her secondary school, Jacyntha work numerous odd job such as a restaurant waiter in Kajang and she was promoted as a captain after 3 days based on her good performance and willingness to work extra hard. During her school days, she worked as an assistance in a clinic in Dr. Foo and Yong Clinic in Mantin where she was entrusted as a cashier to issue receipt and prepare medicine description. She had also worked as a packaging staff in a starfruit and sugar cane farm, and as a service crew in a video tape shop, grocery shop, and waitresses for wedding dinner for mobile caterer, carpet fixer and selling newspaper at home. During her higher secondary school day it is where she started her interest in the insurance industry where she started as a part time insurance agent and running management service company that offer services in personal income tax declaration, registration for new company and renewal of company registration, and preparing accounting for enterprises. By the age of 21 years old during her final semester in Inti University, she was already awarded the Most Valuable Agent (MVA) Award recognising her achievement in the insurance industry. She turned full-time after graduating from college and stayed on ever since. Hard work and interpersonal communication skills were an essential part of this trade as she continuously improve himself. Due to the companys hardworking culture, it set an example for her to work very hard and managed to close more than a lot of cases every year. She obtained his entrepreneur skills from these ventures which became essential for her current success. From there, she hones her sales and persuasion skills which eventually became very useful in his later life. She started out as an insurance and financial planner being her first corporate job in 1998 before eventually founded LNM Wealth Advisory Sdn. Bhd. in 2010. Her team produces 3 MDRTs through the year consistently and she ensure one will be promoted as Unit Sales Manager.

Her childhood was challenging as living in a small village growing up poor. She realised this since young that the only way for success is to work hard and there is no short cut. During her SPM years when she was 17 years old, teenager she was involved in a major road accident and the incidents changed her life forever. The accident taught her to realize the impermanence and fragility of life, which then propelled her to strive for excellence and instill a sense of urgency in risk planning for the public. That was what motivate her to join the insurance, life and wealth planning industry. In her early days, she has been travelling actively in between Kuala Lumpur and Seremban as she realised most of the big opportunities is located in bigger cities. She has realised the strategy of blue ocean, while many of her competitor is focusing on the same red ocean market, fighting for the same pie, she think out of the box and when she saw the harvest was plenty on the other side, it encourages her more to work harder. In year 2006 after she had delivered a baby girl, she stepped out from her comfort zone and joined a cluster insurance group in Kuala Lumpur. That was the big challenge for her as she really doesnt know how to drive around Kuala Lumpur, but due to her perseverance she achieved her first Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) in year 2006 and she has been achieving it yearly till now for the past 12 years.

Provide information which will help the judges understand the challenges, problems, and scope of the nominee's area of activity800 words That earths great treasure lies in human personality is a key word that emboldened Jacyntha during the early stages of her company setup. Earth great treasure is protecting the rights of our children to enable them live peacefully in this world and to give them the sense of protection of right as fellow human being. Jacyntha realises that she needed to focus on a select few agents for him to set up her insurance business. She recruited countless of single mother and single ladies on her to empower them. There were a total of 53 agents had been recruited by her throughout her career which is an achievement given her agency is based in Nilai therefore fulfilling Sustainable Development Goals number 10 (ten). There was a challenge that there was possibly an uncertainty of new agents to join the group, as the group had just started so recently, but with some time, and the knowledge of having such an easy going, family oriented practice and friendly environment practiced by herself in LNM Wealth Advisory, people very soon became attracted and attached to the environment, as it provides rewarding system and it has so much positive energy for people to look forward to be.

Many life insurance companies applied trends and management styles that remain unchanged. What Jacyntha see is to do the unorthodox way to achieve greater success. Summarizing below are the tools she used to address her challenges, problems and scope of her area of activity:

A) Lack of selection requirements.

In the insurance company effort to increase new business premium collection, normally the management set very low achievement targets for new people. This results in majority of people leaving the business after less than two years in service. In LNM Wealth Advisory, strict selection is practiced to ensure that only qualified individuals are allowed to join the agency which make it premium in the market. This may sound contradicting because it is after all a commission-based industry whereby no monthly salary is paid. So why bother selecting? However, for LNM Wealth Advisory, results are clear as theyve churned out agents with strong qualities and this further proven through the multiple MDRT achievers. In the long run, this practice has proven fruitful and it has helped created a new image for the industry hence less agents drop out.

B) Lack of marketing and consumers behavior knowledge.

Sell to anybody is the term commonly used by managers in training their new agents. This only proves the lack of understanding for the market, the marketing techniques and applied strategy principles. By segmenting the life insurance market into different categories, more time is spent in obtaining the right objectives. Better services are rendered and thus bringing more sales in the form of referrals. LNM Wealth Advisory agents are trained to identify individuals, like businessmen without EPF as their need for retirement has to be fulfilled. They are selling with dignity giving them a sense of pride now.

C) The courage to make changes.

Some life insurance companies have been operating in Malaysia for over 100 years and its unfortunate that the trend and management activities applied has remained unchanged. One obvious example is the lack of target market segmentation and instead they continue to the mass market approach. Focusing on selected target segment often attract criticisms such as unprofessional or unethical. To many, it is like criticizing Mercedes for manufacturing cars only for wealthy customers! In the case of LNM Wealth Advisory, the courage to make changes and take risk has helped agents to improve productivity which is about 8 to 10 times the industrys average as seen in the case of LNM Wealth Advisory. Even though LNM Wealth Advisory is well-known in the industry and there are no secrets, it is a norm that many agents and agencies practice the traditional methods. It is always a challenge to change culture and human perception.

D) The problem of discipline among agents.

Without a fix monthly drawing of salaries, many agents do not find the need to report their daily activities. However, in LNM Wealth Advisory, a daily morning meeting is conducted from Monday to Friday and attendance is compulsory. This is unique case in Malaysia because 80% of most agency agents are still working on part-time basis.

Morning meetings have been conducted since 2009 without stop every working day and the sessions are becoming more and more interesting especially when attendees are increasing in numbers as curious people join to attend to see and believed what is happening. Today there are about 26 agents attending morning meetings daily, the largest group in the region.

All these initiatives are to ensure insurance agent carry themselves with pride to contribute to the community especially children empowerment and the rights for everyone to have world peace.

Although the time maybe short but I came across Jacyntha as a person who will give the whole world if she has the mean. At first meeting her she shared with me kind of charity she does and what she wants to do when she set up a home.
