Assessment description

In this assignment you will be required to relate the concepts and theories you will learn about in topics two and three to personal and/or professional experiences. You will need to provide a written reflection for weeks two and three topics (Week 2- Resilience; Week 3- Stress Management). You will use the DIEP Strategy as a framework for examining the theories/concepts and your experiences (you will learn about reflection and the DIEP Strategy in topic 1).

Aims

The aim of this assessment to help you to evaluate the psychological concepts and theories covered in this course and how you can apply them in your personal and professional life.

Reflection is a key skill for professional development, as it assists with critical thinking and insightfulness. In counselling and psychology, it is important to understand who personal attitudes and, feelings and values can impact interactions with clients. Furthermore, reflection assists with lifelong learning.

By completing this assessment, you will be able to:

CO1: Demonstrate an understanding of how psychological concepts and theories can be applied personally and professionally to increase well-being and achievementCO2: Critically evaluate and reflect on psychological concepts and theories and make connections between the concepts and theories and personal and professional experiencesCriteria

You will be assessed on relevance, depth of reflection, your ability to make connections, self-awareness, your use of the DIEP framework, clarity of writing, and referencing.

Instructions

In topics two and three you will learn about psychological concepts and theories that can be applied to your personal and/or professional life. You will need to complete all activities for each of the topics. Once you have completed the requirements for each weekly topic (Resilience; Stress Management) you will then need to reflect onone aspectof the overall topic for each week and consider how it may apply to your personal and/or professional life.

Using the DIEP Strategy as a framework you will need to write one reflection for one aspect of each of the following topics:

Resilience

Stress Management

Each reflection should beapproximately450 words (with a maximum overall word count of 900 words). There is a 10% leeway for this word count. Anything over this 10% leeway will attract a penalty.

Please use headings for each topic (e.g. Resilience or Week 2). Headings are included in the word count.

References are required within this reflection with a minimum of two references per topic (minimum of four references in total). You will need to use APA 7threferencing conventions in this assessment. Your references can be course reading materials.Please reference in-text and include a combined reference list for both reflectionsat the very end of the Word document.
