Tutor FEEDBACK

1. cost and resource allocations

Travelling to space requires a huge cost along with many other more expensive resources and technologies. Therefore, space missions have proved to be a financial burden on the government. This is because this immense amount of money can be used to resolve other issues in the country such as poverty, environmental problems, economic fluctuations, and many others. Even though the exploration of space can be exciting and help scientists discover new things present in the world, this knowledge does nothing to help the issues that people are facing on the planet Earth. Therefore, it would be better to use this type of big investment in the welfare of people rather than exploring outer space (Revellame et al., 2021).

2. Radiation Effect

When an individual travels to space, they get exposed to radiation 10 times more than when on land. These radiations are highly dangerous for the health of an astronaut; however, they receive these toxic radiations constantly while travelling to outer space. The retina in the eye, the brain, and the thyroids can be severely damaged as a result of exposure to these radiations. Not only this but the sensitive tissues of the whole body of a human can also be damaged permanently (Hirayama et al., 2023). Therefore, in order to keep the health of a person safe, it is better to avoid travelling into outer space.

Lack of Gravity

The human body is designed to live in a specific gravity and a lack of gravitational force can prove to be deadly for humans. The reason for this is that there are numerous organs in the human body that are not able to function properly without gravity. Therefore, an astronaut who has spent a large time in space might face health problems such as brain swelling, cerebral motor dysfunction, premature ageing, and many others (Gupta et al., 2023).

Conclusion

In a nutshell, it is not safe for an individual to travel to outer space. The reason for this is that there are many health problems that can emerge in the human body after spending a long travelling space including, brain swelling, retina and thyroids damage, and premature aging. In addition to this, space missions are very costly. This much huge investment would be more beneficial if invested for the betterment of the Earth.
