In this assignment you will find a case related to Enterprise Architecture (EA), introduce the case, and discuss how the documentation framework in the case is different from the EA3 cube framework in the textbook.

Your report could follow the structure below (though you do not have to):

Introduction provide the background and purpose(s) of this report

Case Description briefly introduce the case

Architecture in the case Discuss the EA framework in the case (e.g., different levels, EA

components)

Comparison Discuss how the EA framework in the case is different from the EA3

Cube framework in the textbook (table can be used but you must refer to and expand on the table in

your report). Break down each component/layer into its constituent parts to provide more

detail. Compare both architectures. Example: compare your chosen EA with EA3 cube in a table.

Conclusion State the benefits of the EA framework implemented in the case; Discuss if the

EA framework in the case is more appropriate in the context of the case than the EA3

Cube framework (if so, why; if not, why not). It is possible that the EA framework in the case is

quite similar to the EA3 cube framework. You could argue that it is just an adapted version of

the EA3 cube framework but use examples to justify your response. If only a couple of

similarities exist between the EA framework and the EA3 cube framework, that does not

constitute an adapted version as many EA frameworks will slightly overlap.

Some guidelines / hints:

1) You may not strictly follow the structure, but you need to cover all of the content required

using appropriate headings to structure your report.

2) The report should focus on the documentation framework of the case. In other words,

you do not need to mention its implementation methodology.

3) You are encouraged to find your own case online. If you cannot find a suitable case, there

are two cases which you can use. One is the Chubb case the other is the Cisco case.

It is strongly recommended that students read both cases to gain an appreciation of the type of article required then find their own case online.

from can be helpful for you to learn how to compare different EA frameworks.

Please include your chosen case within your upload as a combined PDF.

Your response to the assignment must appear first within the combined PDF, followed by references and your chosen PDF.
