B.DEFINITION:
ThedissertationismandatoryresearchbasedindependentsupervisedCourseandisanimportantcomponentofallMBAprograms. Thedissertationisasubstantial,sustainedandindependentexerciseinresearchorscholarshipproducedbyanindividualstudent involvingsubstantialdatacollectioninthefieldwiththeworkpresentedasawrittenreport,whichdemonstrates scholarshipatan appropriate level and in an area relevant to the chosen degree of the student.
C.OBJECTIVES:
Dissertationprovidesanopportunity forthestudentstodemonstratetheabilitytodevise,toshowtheapplicationofskillsofdata collection and critical analysis necessary for formation of defensible conclusions. It also provides a platform to demonstrate the ability to draw appropriate conclusions argued from the evidence presented and a forum to demonstrate the skills of structuring and present a balanced, informed, complete, clear and concise written argument.

F.BRIEFINGSESSION:
Briefing Sessions are very important for undertaking the NTCC. This briefing is done by the Institutional NTCC committee to introduce Dissertation and explain the process and way to work in it. It is mandatory for the students to attend the same as per the institutions schedule.
G.ALLOCATIONOFFACULTYGUIDE:
- Each student shall be assigned a faculty guide for the Dissertation well in advance in a formal manner depending on the number of students per faculty member, the available specialization among the faculty guides, guide preference form submitted by the students by Institutional NTCC Committee.
- Each Student undertaking Dissertation will have one guide a faculty guide from the institution. The faculty guide from must closely monitor the progress of the student.
H.ROLEANDEXPECTATIONSOFFACULTYGUIDES
- The faculty guide shall ensure completion of DISSERTATION registration before the last date. The late registration fee starts the next day after the DISSERTATION commencement date, if not registered.

The faculty guide shall upload Dissertation Completion Certificate (submitted by students) on Amizone after verification. The online verification of the Completion Certificate is linked with online uploading of NTCC marks.
I.FINALIZATIONANDAPPROVALOFAREA/TOPICOFDISSERTATIONANDSCHEDULEOFACTIVITIES
- Students will finalize the broad area /topic, synopsis and work schedule of his/her Dissertation work in consultation with the faculty guide.
- The students undertaking the Dissertation will provide a broad area at the time of Registration. However, within two weeks after the registration, the student will work on the topic, synopsis and work Schedule under the guidance of external supervisor and faculty guide.
- The student will submit the synopsis along with work schedule to his / her faculty guide as per the format and update the detail son AMIZONE for approval of facultyIf the faculty guide feels certain lacuna in the synopsis and work schedule, he / she will discuss with the student and finalize the same to meet the Course Objectives (COs) and Learning Outcomes (LOs) in accordance with Programme Learning Objectives (PLOs).
J.ROLESANDRESPONSIBILITIESOFSTUDENTS:
- Students must register for Dissertation within 7 days from the commencement of semester and start work on time and to avoid late fines due to delays.
- Late Registration will be allowed for only one week after the commencement of NTCC
- Students shall attend Dissertation orientation conducted by institutional NTCC Coordinator/HoI.
- Students shall report to the assigned faculty guide immediately after completing
- Students shall read the SI guidelines
- Students shall discuss the research area and title with respective faculty guide to prepare and submit synopsis within two weeks of Dissertation commencement.
- Students shall maintain diary entries for all meetings with the supervisor and guidance received on the selected
- Students shall act responsibly and professionally during fieldwork /industry internship/work in external set
- Recognize ethical responsibilities and understand the regulations regarding plagiarism
- Students shall start making the final draft after Mid-semester Progress Review under guidance of

K.REGISTRATION&PROGRESSMONITORING:
- Registration fortheCourse
- The students are required to register online on AMIZONE for the Dissertation course as per the
- Online Registration Forms will be visible to students on their Amizone 14 days prior to start / commencement date of their Dissertation. Students can do their online registration without any late registration charges up to start / commencement
- The students can do their online registration with applicable late registration charges of Rs 1000/-, if they have not registered on Amizone within due date.
- Late Registration of students will be allowed for only one week after the commencement of
- At the time of Registration, Students must mention tentative area in place of topic/title of the project
- The students who have not registered for the Dissertation course as per regulations will not be permitted to submit any report and will be treated as having failed the course.
- A student having genuine reason may be permitted for late registration on the following grounds:
- Ill health - provided the student has informed the institution on time and had taken sick leave from
- Student sare on approved Official Duty, representing university/ institution in competitions, seminars, placements activities etc.
- The late registration charges may change from time to time as recommended by the Finance
- The students who have not registered for the DISSERTATION course as per regulations will not be permitted to submit any report and will be treated as having failed the course.
- Progress monitoring(weeklybyfacultyguideandPeriodicallybyInstitutionalProjectCommittee/Project Review Committee)
- The students will undertake Dissertation as per the course requirement and work
- The students will regularly report to their faculty guide for their weekly progress as per the prescribed format of Weekly Progress Report (WPR) and update the Weekly Progress Report (WPR) details on
- Faculty Guide will mark the Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory of Weekly Progress Report (WPR) received and quality of work done on AMIZONE within 3 days after students permissible time. There will be one extra day up to only 2 times during Dissertation period for any faculty with permission at HoI level. The Faculty Guide will also give feedback to

L.GUIDELINESFORWRITINGDISSERTATION:
ThefinalreportisanimportantcomponentofallDissertation.Therefore,studentsmustadheretoparameters,wordlength, No. of Copies, binding type etc as given inAnnexure I
M.SUBMISSIONOFFINALREPORT
Themostimportantaspectofthecoursesisthefinalreport.Therefore,thefollowingmustbeensuredforproducingthequality report.
- The student will start writing the project report / Dissertation while doing his/her DISSERTATION course as per the prescribed
- The students will submit the 1st draft of the report to the guide for guidance. Followed by the submission of 2nd draft of the report after making necessary changes as suggested by the guide.1st Draft and 2nd Draft will be duly checked for Plagiarism with the help of open-source Anti-Plagiarism Software by the student before submitting the final draft report to the Faculty
- The final report will be submitted to Faculty Guide for checking the Plagiarism through Anti- Plagiarism software subscribed to by the University. If similarity index is found more than 15%, report will not be uploaded on Amizone
- The following will be submitted along with the final report:

- A student will be eligible to submit his report and final assessment provided he/she meets the following conditions:
- Online Registration for the DISSERTATION course
- Approval of Topic, Synopsis and Project Plan by the guide

- Similarity index not more than 15% as per Plagiarism Prevention Policy of the University

- The Dissertation reportmustbe written in students own However, if required tocite the words of others, all the debts (for words, data, arguments, and ideas) have to be appropriately acknowledged.
- It is mandatory that each project report should be checked for plagiarism through Turnitin or similar software before submission. The content which is based on existing published work must come from properly quoted material and from the references cited section. After checking the accuracy of the citations and references of such content the plagiarism report should not return to a similarity index of more than 15% in any circumstance. However, if the matching text is one continuous block, the index of15%couldstillbeconsideredAnyreportwithhigherthanthispercentagematchingmust be explained by the student. PROCEDUREFOREXAMINATIONOFCASESFORSPECIALCONSIDERATION
- To examine the cases for consideration by Vice Chancellor, the DISSERTATION Review Committee for the Academic Session will be constituted at the University level as per norms prescribed in the regulations of DISSERTATION.
- The recommendation of HoIs of all such cases after detailed explanation given by students must be submitted to the CoE office at least 10 days prior to the Final Assessment Date for examination to be decided by DISSERTATION Review Committee after consideration by the Vice Chancellor.
QIMPROVEMENTOFSCORES&GRADE:
IThestudentsshallbeallowedtoimprovehis/herScore/Gradeasunder:
- The student who has failed in DISSERTATION may be allowed to re-do the DISSERTATION again. The student shall not be given a grade of more than B+.
- The student shall apply to repeat the DISSERTATION to his HoI within fifteen days of the result
- HoI shall send the recommendation to CoE for DISSERTATION Review Committee for approval of the Vice Chancellor.
- Pay fee of1,000/- (Examination fee).
(ii) Submit all reports as applicable for the DISSERTATION programme, i.e., Weekly Progress Report etc. as per DISSERTATION guidelines.

- The progress monitoring, continuous assessment, submission of report and final assessment shall be done as per the guidelines. The previous marks of Continuous Internal Assessment shall be treated as NULL and VOID once the new Continuous Internal Assessment is submitted by the Institution for new

AllstudentswhoareunabletosubmitthefinalDISSERTATIONreportwithintheprescribedtimeorare unsuccessful in continuous internal assessment or fail in final assessment can be considered in the Supplementary Examination of the Academic Session, with B+ cap (if applicable). The students will be required to:
- Submit the Application Form to his / her DISSERTATION, Supervisor, who in turn will submit to the Institutional DISSERTATION Review Committee. HoI will forward recommendation of the Committee to AUUP HQ for approval.
- Pay fee of1,000/- (Examination fee).
- Submit all reports as applicable for the DISSERTATION programme, e., Weekly Progress Report, DISSERTATION course diary etc. as per DISSERTATION guidelines.
