Assignment Tasks
Task 1: (10 Marks) Attend the MOOC IoT course assigned to you as part of this module through Cisco Networking Academy, and provide your reflection and understanding of the functionality of theIoT Perception layer, Network Layer, and Application layer. The understanding and reflection are not more than 200 words. MOOC Course completion details are expected to include in this task.
Task 2: (70 Marks) Students are required to do the following tasks to examine the functionality of the IoT Devices and network:
2a: Consider the following IoT network topology figure 2.a, students need to design IoT based network in packet tracer. (10 Marks)

2b: For the above IoT network design, the Student needs to configure and examine the functionality of the IoT network and devices.
- Configure the complete IoT network with IP schema and examine MEC wireless routers for all IoT traffic crosses the network. (10 Marks)
- Configure and connect the IoT registration server. (10 Marks)
- Configure and connect the MCU with the Smoke detector using programming. (10 Marks)
- Configure and connect the MCU with the Temperature sensor using programming. (10 Marks)
- Configure and connect the MCU with Celling Floor using programming. (10 Marks)
- Configure and connect the SBC with Fire Alarm using programming. (10 Marks)
Task 3: (20 Marks) Select a published research paper preferably from the ACM-DL or IEEE-CSDL that is discussing Challenges of IoT Security implementation in crossover-heterogenous networks.
Student needs to provide the critical analysis of the selected research paper which is not more than 500 words. The paper you select MUST NOT BE DISCUSSED WITH ANOTHER STUDENT.
