MNGT920: Organisational Analysis Assignment

Select a large, bureaucratic organisation. And writing an Organisational Analysis report (Please do not choose the US Department of Agriculture, since this an indicator that you have used ChatGPT to write your essay, which is expressly prohibited by UOW’s academic integrity rules.)

Assess your chosen organisation’s level of formalisation (i.e. how widespread are written rules and procedures throughout it?).

Be sure to give specific examples of formalisation (i.e. rules and written procedures, such as in the aircraft video we watched in today’s class).

Then identify to what extent formalisation functions to overcome to the coordination challenges the organisation faces.

Note: you must cite, at minimum, Morgan (2006) and at least one of the three reference texts (Daft, 2021; Jones, 2013) and at least three academic journal articles.
