Planning your assessment task

This semester all written assignments for the unit will be submitted through Turnitin. Please make sure you are familiar with submitting your assignment and checking your similarity reports. It is the student's responsibility to check similarity reports before the assignment's due date.
Applying for an extension
If unforeseen circumstances impact the timely submission of assessment tasks, please submit your request with supporting documentation under 'Request an extension' in the 'Assessments' folder on your NUR368 landing page. This must be submitted before the due date. The extension request will NOT be accepted on the assessment due date or after the assessment due date.

HIGHER EDUCATION ASSESSMENT (COURSEWORK) POLICY AND PROCEDUREThe main points to note from this policy are:
Late submission penalty will now be 10% per calendar day unless an extension or application for special consideration (Access Plan or cultural obligations such as Sorry Business) is approved by the UC
Late submission items (without extension) will not be accepted after 5 calendar days, the student will receive zero marks

Description:The quizzes will take the form of Multiple Choice Quizzes (MCQ) available to complete in learnline. These will assess knowledge and understanding of the unit content.
*Please note:*
Each MCQ will be open for one day each. There is only one attempt allowed per quiz and the time limit is 30 minutes. Make sure that you set aside sufficient time to complete the quiz fully when attempting it, as reattempts are not permitted.
Assessment Task 2: Digital presentation & short report
Due:Week 7 Friday the 28th April at 22:29hrs (ACST)
Duration:10 minute presentation & 500 word report
Value (of total mark):40%

Description:The task is divided into two components:
Choose a global health challenge from the list below:
A) Create a digital presentation on the global health challenge selected and the issue identified. Students are required to submit a video recording of themselves and their PowerPoint slideshow. (30%)
B) Submit a short report summarising the presentation using the provided template. (10%)

Due:Week 11 - Friday 26th May at 22:29hrs (ACST)
Word count:2000 words +/- 10%
Value (of total mark):40%
