Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of sex, race, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, age, disability, or any other status. For this assessment task, you are required to write an essay (1200 1500 words) that is based on one of the following groups who, at various times and in various contexts, have not had their human rights protected or promoted:Children

The obligations of governments to promote and protect the human rights and freedoms of children (i.e., the obligations of governments to act in certain ways or refrain from certain acts).
The ways in which Australian government(s) have not and/or do not meet specific obligations under specific conventions/articles to promote and protect the human rights and freedoms of children. Examples can be based on past and/or present legislation, policies, and practices.
The ways in which Australian government(s) do meet their obligations under specific conventions/articles to promote and protect the human rights and freedoms of children. Examples should be based on up-to-date legislation, policies, and practices.

You are required to complete an 8 10-minute PowerPoint/Video presentation that builds on the findings of your Part 2A essay. In this presentation, you will explain:
The obligations of governments, organizations, and/or individuals based on relevant human rights instruments and legislation - to promote and protect the human rights and freedoms of your chosen group.
The legal consequences for governments, organizations, and/or individuals who fail to abide by these human rights standards and/or laws (i.e., this relates to the question of how much the human rights instruments or law have teeth), and any relevant critique/commentary
Complexities that can arise when granting the human rights of your chosen group (i.e., when there are conflicts between different peoples/groups human rights).
Use APA 7 referencing. Your power point slides for your video oral presentation should include at least 5 (scholarly) journal articles or books.
