Community Work Reflective exercise 2:
What are the benefits and limitations of community development in social work? In what way could community development be a practice method for social workers? After watching the Community development panel 2022 reflect on what learning you have gained. What areas of skill development do you want to focus on to enhance your practice of community development as a social worker?
Students should ensure they watch the Community Development Panel prior to completing this reflection..
Group Work-Reflective exercise 3:
What learning did you gain from the facilitation exercise? Reflect on your practice as a group facilitator. How would you ensure inclusion and safety in group work activities for people with disability, cultural and linguistic diversity, and diversity of gender/sexual identity? What do you see as some of the challenges you may need to address as a group facilitator and how would you respond? eg someone dominating the discussion or not engaging well. (To assist in developing these responses, it would help you to view the recorded group work pods 8, 9 and 11)
