Background
In 2022, the Commonwealth of Australia (Department of Health) released the Future focused primary health care: Australias Primary Health Care 10 Year Plan 2022-2032. This document outlines how primary health care will be strengthened as part of the health system and provides an agenda for reform over a decade (DoH 2022).
The plan (DOH 2022) identifies 12 action areas that are grouped under 3 reform streams:
Future focused primary health care.
Person-centred primary health care supported by funding reform.
Integrated care, locally delivered.
