Aside from chronic diseases such as stroke, lung infections, respiratory difficulties, and heart disease, fatal accidents are among the leading causes of death in the world.

Malaysia has seen a 70% increase in fatal accidents. Based on fatal accident data from 2013 to 2017, this study was carried out to investigate the rate of fatal road accidents in the states of Selangor and Perlis. The data were analysed quantitatively, taking into account the previous research conducted by the researchers. According to the data, the state of Selangor had the highest accident rate, while the state of Perlis had the lowest accident rate. Factors influencing the rate of road accidents in both states are being investigated, among other things.
