Format: You will write three academic summaries over the course of this semester, for this assessment task.

Each of your three Academic Summaries will require you to provide a 500 word breakdown of a Psychological journal article (500 words x 3 = 1500 word maximum word count).

Guidance on how to develop your summaries will be provided in relevant tutorials (starting Week 2). A variety of additional resources are provided (below, on this vUWS page) to help you complete your summaries. Please especially be mindful to closely read theMarking CriteriaMarking Criteria - Alternative Formats.

Turnitin submission links are hidden until you score at least 18/20 in theLibrary Literacy Task.

Turnitin submission links are also unavailable until approximately 2 weeks prior to their deadline.

Length: No more than 1,500 words (hard maximum of 500 words per academic summary)

Note that your word count in each summary includes in-text citations, but excludes the cover page, reference list, and required section headings.

Please Note: This is a mandatory assessment task. If you do not submit, you will fail this subject, irrespective of your marks in other tasks.
