Short Composition
A personal travel account followed by a writers reflection (total 800 words). The travel account is a single narrative
consisting of three scenes linked thematically by either 'Home' or 'Stranger in a Strange Land' (600 words). Each scene
must demonstrate a strong narrative voice (i.e., the sense of Self/I in the scene, rather than being merely descriptive).
The scenes may refer to a single travel destination or experience, or may refer to separate locations and/or
experiences. The reflection must explain the purpose of the piece and how your narrative technique and creative
decisions (choice of destination, characterisation, imagery, etc.) contribute to the overarching theme or message in the
account (200 words).
