Assignment Structure
Summary Paragraph(200 words)
Compare and contrast the findings and themes identified across the different media sources and identify common themes, patterns, contradictions etc. Analyse the collective impact of media representation on public attitudes, political discourse, and policy decision-making processes. Summarise the key findings from your annotated bibliography.
Annotation and Critical Analysis of Media Sources(800 words)
Provide the following for each of the six sources:
Source # (eg 1)
The complete APA7 reference for the chosen news source (not included in the word count).
A concise summary of the news source, highlighting its main arguments, key findings, and main themes related to the chosen corrections population group.
Identify how the news source may influence public opinion.
Repeat for each source.
As each annotation will be short, this will be the most difficult part of the assignment for some because it requires you to be succinct. Dont rewrite the article; write the article's base facts and important notes. Be descriptive and critical; describe the author's point of view, authority, clarity, and appropriateness of expression.
Reference list(not included in word count).
Do NOT include your annotated news sources in the reference list; use this list for any sources used that were not your news sources.
