Leadership and Management
Aim: The student will demonstrate an understanding of the functions and processes
in health care leadership and management.
Identify a theory, model or recognised guide for one of the following:
Leadership (or) Management (or) Change
Critically discuss the selected theory, model or recognised guide as it applies within your own clinical unit and practice. You should include reference to at least one of the following: staff engagement, culture, and quality/safety. You are required to submit 1 document only including your references. This assignment must be supported with reference to the relevant literature using the Harvard referencing system. Word count: 2000 words, excluding reference list and appendices.
Format of Assignment Each Assignment must be submitted with the with a cover sheet stating that it is your own work (see Appendix) through Moodle. All assignments must be typed using font twelve and 1.5 or double line spacing for the main text. Pages should be numbered consecutively on the bottom of each page, either centered or to the right. The page number should not appear on the title page. Referencing Referencing must be presented using the Harvard Referencing system. Please refer to the library resource Cite Them Right to guide you in relation to referencing correctly. Your assignment will be checked on for a similarity report.
Word Count All words in the main body of the assignment are included in the word count. The word count must be clearly indicated on the cover sheet. Word counts should not be in excess of 10% above or below the stated word count.
