Task Question:


For this assessment task you will need to compile a report that demonstrates your skills of observing and making theory visible in practice through play, childrens development, and educator pedagogical practices. Your report must also demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the application and integration of the planning cycle.


Use Beloglovsky & Daley (2015) and the provided observational videos as a basis of your assessment to:


1. Observe and collect information:Document the observations using techniques that you determine are the most appropriate. Ensure across the three (3) observations to use a variety of techniques.


2. Assess and question:Choose two (2) theorists from the provided list and make the theorists theory visible through your assessment of the childrens social-emotional, cognitive, physical, communication and language development; and learning that is occurring through play in the observation. Ensure across the three (3) observations you use 6 of the 7 theorists from the list.


3. Plan:Based on your documentation and assessment take action to plan an environment and learning areas for the children based on the two (2) theorists chosen in stage 2.


4. Implement:Based on your documentation, assessment and planning of the environment identify the pedagogical practices a teacher would need to engage in to implement the environment. These pedagogical practices should align to the two (2) theorists chosen in stage 2.
