Bell is a 14-year-old high school student; she has been highlighted as high risk due to frequent bouts of absenteeism and difficult family life. Recently, Bell has been noted as socially isolating at school, losing interest in her studies, and engaging in strange relationships with older and untrustworthy individuals. As a result, the school is concerned that Bell is at risk of dropping out and engaging in illicit drugs.

Psychoeducational supports adolescents' self-efficacy, perceived body image, and social connections to participate in their adolescent growth actively and create enduring and healthy interpersonal ties (Padmanabhan, 2022). Therefore, training in social skills and cognitive restructuring with self- and social-perspective viewpoints are the main components of a psychoeducational intervention(Padmanabhan, 2022).

Bell might benefit from psychoeducation to help them deal with negative thoughts to increase her understanding of the signs, effects, and consequences of depression (Padmanabhan, 2022).

By implementing psychoeducation techniques, the goal is to boost Bell's self-esteem and decrease her likelihood of becoming a high school dropout(Padmanabhan, 2022).

Psychoeducation can also support changing her attitudes, coping mechanisms, and the depressive feelings associated with self-injury (Padmanabhan, 2022).

Teenage girls are empowered by girls; creating a support group or community with other girls can help reduce adolescent psychopathology symptoms and increase positive role models and social support in Bell's life (Padmanabhan, 2022). Adolescents who are depressed typically have negative opinions about other people and their surroundings (Padmanabhan, 2022).

Psychoeducational strategies have improved young people's perceptions of their parent's behaviour. Implementing family psychoeducation could be helpful for fostering understanding between Bell and her family(Padmanabhan, 2022). This method can also help address cultural and community traditions, needs, and intergenerational trauma.

Through family psychoeducation, Bell may improve their opinions on the family relationship and hopefully report feelings of support and improved functionality and closeness within social groups (Padmanabhan, 2022).

This method combines cognitive-behavioural, interpersonal, and family systems therapy to help Bell better understand their symptoms and use that understanding to operate within their family (Padmanabhan, 2022).
