Ben & Jerrys: Preserving Mission and Brand within Unilever:case study research report
You will develop up to a 2000-word research-based report, based on primary and secondary research, that includes a case study analysis of
- corporate social responsibility (CSR) and
- ethical decision making
at Ben & Jerry's Homemade Holdings Inc., trading and commonly known as Ben & Jerry's, a Vermont, United States-based company that manufactures ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sorbet. Founded in 1978 in Burlington, Vermont, it was sold in 2000 to British conglomerate Unilever.
- You should compare and contrast corporate social responsibility (CSR) and ethical decision-making at Ben & Jerry's with one (1) additional organization.
- You should support and inform your analysis with reference to relevant theory/theories, framework/s and/or perspective/s of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and ethical decision-making and, where appropriate, other key areas of learning from the Master of Management course.
- Research (and its integration into the report) is an important part of this assessment, meaning referencing is required. You must undertake research independently and draw on the academic source material and integrate it into your analysis. You must use a minimum of five (5) scholarly references in your report. Other non-academic source material, e.g., published reports, are also acceptable but should not form the majority of your references.
- You need to assess and demonstrate the quality of the material you cite, do not just rely on news stories, blogs, general websites, etc.
