Project
(Report 30% of the Total Assessment and Presentation 10% of the Total Assessment)
Due Time and Date 1 PM (10 October 2024)
Your company has been commission to provide a stormwater design for the given catchment. Your manager has asked you to estimate the peak stormwater discharge at Point A, the site for a proposed culvert, for the ARIs 50, 20 and 10 year flood events. Figure 1 and Table 1 provide the catchment and stream profile data.
Catchment data
area = A km2
catchment, shown in the figure, is predominately flat to rolling country used for grazing cattle
channel is well defined and with little storage
chainage for stream profile, as shown, have been extracted from a topographic map.

Figure 1 Catchment area and stream profile
The culvert is connected to a trapezoidal channel. You need to provide a design for this channel for Q10, Q20 and Q50 using the information of table 2. In the channel with the highest discharge, a flow measurement structure (90 V-notch) will be placed. Provide a sketch for this V-notch.
Provide appropriate drawings for all the above cases.
