The purpose of this study aims to explore how a Minister of the gospel in Englands personal, family and church ministry affects their mental health.

It is expected that by the end of this project, we will deploy some coping mechanism for the ministers in England. We will achieve this by:

1) Exploring the experiences of Ministers and how their role impacts their emotional wellbeing.

2) We will analyse the causes of mental breakdown and its impact on the Ministers ministry, personal and family life.

3) then identify how effective is the coping strategies adopted by Ministers are for their emotional wellbeing.

4) Contribute to the already existed knowledge of how the minister can improve their mental health.

2f) Conduct of project.

Please give a description of the research methodology that will be used

I will adopt a quantitative research method. As this study will explore the personal responses of 25 ministers and their mental health and their coping mechanism in place. This method will be used due to the questionnaire providing better feed for data analysis. I will contribute to the existing knowledge by adding theoretical knowledge to the ministers mental health. Analyse data from different denominations and their approach or systems in place for their ministers well-being may vary. Depending on my findings, I will make suggestions to the different denomination for things that can be adopted.

The questionnaire will be divided into five key areas; 1) background, 2) stressful life events 3) lived experience in three main areas ministry, personal ministry, and family life, 4) awareness of coping strategies and 5) application of coping strategies. An open ended questions were asked to enable participants to share their experiences.

The Data will be collected through a Microsoft form created.

Outline the potential significance and/or benefits of the research:

The expected beneficial outcomes are as follows:

To gain insight by critically analyzing how participants made sense of their calling as a ministers.

How the negative impact of ministry affected their life holistically and what coping mechanism has been adopted.

The mental well-being of the minister is essential to the success of his/her ministry (it affects how we think, feel and act) and therefore it is vital that He or She is emotionally sound to offer the right level of support to his family, the congregation and community at large.

I will critically look and draw out better ways a minister can take of their mental health.

I will explain to them how their confidential data will be stored. I will make sure passwords are not saved on my laptop to mitigate giving people access.
