1 Introduction
Assignment 2 is an individual assessment and aims to assess students advanced BIM software skills. Students are required to complete a series of advanced tasks using the provided models. Three NWC models will be provided, including Clinic_A.nwc, Clinic_MEP.nwc, and Clinic_S.nwc.
Please refer to A2_tasks.docx for the tasks to be completed.
2 Submission
The following files should be zipped and submitted via Blackboard. Name the zipped file with your student id and full name, e.g., 18294817_John_Hughes_Assessment2.zip.
Assessment2.nwd - the nwd file containing the architectural, structural and MEP elements of the project (files submitted in another format will result in a zero mark)
The clash report from Q2
The Audit report from Q3
The Plumbing Fixtures schedule from Q4
The iConstruct profile (.icp)
The exported search sets (.xml)
Appendix - How to create the .zip file
Create a folder and name it, e.g., 18294817_John_Hughes_Assessment1
Put the above files into the folder
Zip the folder
Mac users right click on the folder, and choose Compress
Windows users install a file archiver, such as 7-Zip, and right click on the folder

1 Open Clinic_A.nwc and append Clinic_S.nwc and Clinic_MEP.nwc (3 points)
Delete the default views in Saved Viewpoints (2 points)
Create the following views (15 points):
Home - a view showing all elements but not rooms
Structure a view showing structure only
MEP without rooms a view showing MEP without rooms
Architecture a view showing architecture only
Rooms a view showing rooms
20 Comment 2 Check if any of the structural columns and frame elements in the Clinic_S.nwc model clash with any of the ducts in the Clinic_MEP.nwc.
