Business Economics and Its Concepts Assignment

Design and develop a plan to assess student skills in economic analysis. It also seeks to build critical thinking and writing skills. 

Assignment Steps 

Step 1. Summarise 

In your own words summarise the key points of the article.

Step 2. Present 

i. Provide a quotation of one learning objective from the list of ‘Learning  objectives’ at the beginning of Chapter 4 of the Text book, which you will  use in analysing the Article 

ii. Select two to three sentences from the Article that can be linked to the economic  concepts contained in the above learning objective and paraphrase them. 

Step 3 - Explain 

Explain in your own words economic concepts contained in the learning objective  you identified in the Present section (Step 2) of this assignment. Use a diagram or  diagrams to illustrate your explanation. 

Step 4 - Apply 

Discuss the links between the contents of the Article and the economic concepts explained in Step 3 above to show how those economic concepts are applicable to the given situation. You must use specific examples from the Article and explain how they are linked to the economic concepts discussed above.

Step 5 - Reflect 

In this section you will present your own thinking, observations or comments on one of the broader economic issues that are relevant to the situation discussed in the Article. For 

• child labour 

• political instability in poor countries 

• inter-generational use of critical natural resources 

• environmental costs and benefits of electric cars, or 

• blockchain technology shaping global future which are some of the broader economic issues implicit in the Article. You can use some research to form your opinion on one of the above or similar economic issue related to the analysis.
